New Beginnings…

Our boys are 6 and 9. They are daydreamers… kind and curious with incredible imaginations. School was breaking their spirit. Mine too.

On the eve of our homeschooling journey, the kids named our school: Love-Learning. Their dream was to renew their love of learning and escape to follow their passions.

This was the poster the boys created and ‘Try Everything’ by Shakira was declared our theme song!

To start, we are focusing on making mistakes and not fearing repercussions. We are reinstating a place of safety to ensure the kids take risks. We will develop our research skills, we will adventure and explore. We need to learn by doing, by testing, by failing and persistently working through problems until we find answers and solutions that suit.

What an incredible opportunity we all have – we are mostly excited, a little terrified, and absolutely committed to making this work.
